ESTABLISHED IN 1952

THOMPSONS IS NOW 64 YEARS OLD THIS MONTH AND STILL GOING STRONG

Thompson Surveying has been the south-west’s leading Surveying Company since 1952. Our experience, equipment and technical knowledge means we can handle any project from simple boundary survey to an entire new estate, road network, construction or mine site means our clients are mainly South West but we do push into Regional Western Australia.

Flinders mine 2 (Medium)_editedLicensed Surveyor, Heath Fisher, found the easiest forms of transport in the Pilbara to be a helicopter whilst completing a mining tenement re-survey.

Heath Fisher is one of our young gun surveyors, licensed to complete work associated with the Transfer of Land Act, Strata Act and the Mining Act.

He has expertise in all facets of surveying including cadastral, mining, engineering, civil, construction, structural and control surveys. With this knowledge and technical ability, Heath can ensure success with projects of any size and complexity.

DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE?

CONTOUR SURVEY vs FEATURE SURVEY

Contour Survey – Requires the Surveyor to take spot heights only over a lot. A contour plan to show the position of the spot heights, the contours and the cadastral boundaries will be provided to the client in hard copy as well as digital information in “cad” format.

Feature Survey – Requires the Surveyor to survey spot heights, buildings & sheds, internal services, all assets (like clothes lines), trees, shrubs (which may be show as a bush line), driveways, kerbs, drainage sumps and fences. He will also survey the verge to centerline of road and everything in the verge he can see. A feature survey plan is produced to show all the above, contours, the cadastral boundaries and all Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) information. The client will receive a hard copy as well as digital information in “cad” format.

Contact Thompsons Surveying if we can assist you with either a Contour or Feature Survey
